The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Brotherhood” is a February 2022 release of the vintage basketball shoe that honors Michael Jordan’s Omega Psi Phi fraternity from his alma mater, the University of North Carolina. The “Brotherhood” is yet another Air Jordan colorway that offers a look into Jordan’s life, this time drawing inspiration from the fraternity he was a member of while playing college basketball with the Tar Heels. The look of the shoe is inspired specifically by the Omicron Alpha chapter, an African-American fraternity founded in 1911 that has signature colors of purple and University Gold, both of which appear on the shoe. Specifically, the perforated toe, collar, and heel feature University Gold leather while the toe cap, forefoot, eyelets, and laces are dipped in Light Bordeaux. The Swoosh and collar also appear in Light Bordeaux, and a “Wings” logo in black is found on the collar. The “Nike Air” branding on the University Gold tongue tag is printed in purple lettering.
